Pedestrian

After leaving NJ and NY I have never lived anywhere else that you could walk to a shop.  I envy the people who live in a place where you don’t have to own a car if you don’t want to.  Walking is so much more public.  It’s really very social.  Having lived that lifestyle for many years I realize some of my fondest memories are from my intimate knowledge of people and places I would otherwise have missed, had I whizzed through those years in a car.
