Recipe - Asian-Style Marinade
Use these ingredients to turn your favorite bottled barbecue sauce into an Asian-style marinade. The cayenne adds plenty of heat so if you don't want it too spicy leave out the red pepper flakes. You can get a nice crusty coating if you sear the meat quickly before switching to your normal grilling method, since the barbecue sauce probably contains sugar.
Asian-Style Marinade
Ingredients
4 tablespoons sherry
4 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Procedure
Mix ingredients in a small bowl and pour into a zipper-lock bag. Add beef, chicken or pork and marinate at least 1 hour in the refrigerator. Then it's grill time!
