Run or Dye

Albino peacock struts in Palm Bay, FL flaunting his success in escaping the dye packets
Our lives were busy and exciting from mid-April into May.  Beaver, who had been on sabbatical, decided to accept a job offer from a company in another state, Captain Morgan and Princess announced that they were expecting their first child, and sons Chuck and Ollie came home on leave from being overseas with the Army. It was all a real big hoot and we had so much to celebrate, and that's why I've been spending this last week in rehab.  Just kidding. Sort of.

Run Or Dye

Chuck arrived on our doorstep late on a Saturday.  He devoted a full week to the art of vegetation while we heard all the stories about his six months in the Middle East.  Jake was in heaven to have his sofa buddy back.

I had signed us all up to walk in the Run or Dye 5K race the following Saturday.  All five of us wore white and proceeded to get really messy on a (actually 2+ mile) course through the area around the Eastern Florida campus.  I had fun.  I can't say the guys did but hey, they participated.  I had never done a "race" before so I learned some things, mainly that the go-to staple of Making a Silly Statement is a tutu.
